I know it can be quite troublesome if you're a newbie blog writer and you can't get enough people to visit your site; I experienced that in my early days. One thing that can help you are sites which specialize in directory submissions. You can't believe how much more people I was able to draw to my site once I submitted it in numerous directories. It's just like putting your site in the yellow pages so that people will know that it exists and the good thing about it is that it's free.
